Great choice to resolve the chord progression with a minor chord instead of a major chord. Creates just the right amount of suspense in the piece.
This is a great comment that I admittedly only partially grasp. I have a decent understanding of basic musical concepts, and understand how minor and major notes and chords create different moods. But it's not something I think about when listening usually. Do you have any recommendations for YT channels or other resources for understanding more about stuff like chord progressions and how to identify them?
@@prometheuszero9 look up “modal interchanges” it’s the technique we used to create the chord progressions in this song

Hello there
There's a moment in every EG song upload where I go, "That's why they chose that one." For this tune, that moment came both at 2:13 and the breakdown at 3:17. At least that's what made me stop doing the dishes and go, "Oh, hell yeah."
That’s pretty similar to how it went when producing the songs haha. We had a nice groove going then I found that chord progression and I liked it, and on the way back to the original groove I was like “what’s something interesting I can do here” then the sliding lead idea came to me
