Hi Cody! I just wanted to let you know how inspiring this channel is! Back in my high school days I would run a half marathon every Monday and do 100 mile weeks sometimes (big cross country runner) but over the years I stopped running It has always felt daunting to get back in and I am good at making excuses for myself but this channel has really got me pumped to start running again! Stay soft and CHOO CHOO BABY
I had my son last year October 27 and I was struggling with ways to keep fit. Watching your channel really inspired me to start running and so I decided I was going to run a marathon and that is my goal! I started to run pushing my baby in the stroller every morning my times were horrible (running 12 minute kilometers) but I just kept going and kept on watching your channel every week for motivation. I just completed my first ever half marathon at in 2 hours 32 minutes! I can't thank you enough for helping me on my postpartum fitness journey, I am not going to stop now! Hopefully my son is inspired and also leads a healthy life. thank you so much Cody for the inspiration and I'm so excited to complete my full marathon in May! -from a fellow Calgarian CHOO CHOO
out of so many things I appreciate about Cody sharing his everyday life with us, the one that stands out is his unabashed appreciation of nature. idk why but it just warms my heart to see him being so sweet and observant of the what may seem mundane to so many :) keep it going Cody and all the best ❤ choo chooo
Had a heart transplant when I was 16, used to swim at a national and international level, and now thanks to this channel, I’ve entered an Ironman for next June to raise money for the charity that saved my life. Thank you Cody for being an inspiration to all of us! Choo choo
Just ran a 5k today and made a new time of 8:32 mile. Obviously not an insane time but for me that’s a massive improvement from a month an half ago of 10:45. Cody has definitely inspired me to run more regularly and I’ve also got my husband doing it now.
I started running in February and couldn’t run a mile. I ended up signing up for a 10 mile run that was supposed to happen yesterday. The morning of they cancelled it for heat. I ended up going out early and doing it anyways! These videos help keep me inspired 😊
Congrats to Julia! I also just did my first unofficial 10k yesterday and finished in about an hour and 12 minutes. When I started running I weighed 383 (and that was already down about 40-ish pounds) and could barely run more than 5 seconds without dying. Running seems fucking impossible when you start but getting out there and realizing it’s a hard thing you’re doing will make you feel like a superhero whenever you finish a workout. Thanks as always to Cody for these videos that legitimately always reset my motivation on a weekly basis. Energy is everything.
I always loved running but when I was dealing with my ED, running became a form of harm. Flash forward to this year and for the first time, I started running again. I’m slow, have to take a lot of breaks, and can only run 1.5 miles right now, but it makes me so happy and I have never felt this good running. Thanks Cody for providing a ton of motivation, because now I have a new relationship with running, and the energy is everything. Choo choo dudes!
Sometimes on my runs I feel terrible and I find solace in the times you’ve posted about feeling terrible and when I feel great I feel motivated to celebrate it because you do the same. Your mentality and transparency does a lot for individuals working to challenge themselves and live healthier lives both physically and mentally. Can’t wait to run my first ever marathon definitely hoping it’s frictionless!! Thank you for everything
hey cody, long time supporter (of all your channels) and first time commenter. i started running 3 years ago, but running a marathon was something i literally never thought i could do, but you inspired me to sign up and train for one. i got sick a month before the race and my first long run back was 20 miles. it was probably one of the hardest things i’d ever done and when i went home i immediately watched your “i ran an ultramarathon” to help inspire me. i successfully finished the portland marathon this last week, & when i was dying at mile 23 i saw a sign that said “choo choo” and that honest to god got me through to the end :) thank you for your videos, you inspire me to keep training every week. i appreciate how honest you are on your journey, cause it’s definitely full of highs and lows for all of us too
Hey Cody! I started running around October of 2022 after finding your channel but had to stop suddenly after becoming ill and being bed-ridden for around 4 weeks. Since then I have been building up my strenght and endurance, training hard and running every single day, with a streak of 236 days now! I just completed my first 5km race and finished with a PB of 22mins 26 seconds and an average pace of 4:36/km!! I can only confidently say that majority of my motivation has come from your training and this channel, so thank you so much. (P.S. I was listening to Bop It on repeat for the first 1.5kms!!) WE ASCEND TOGETHER🚂🚂
You must be so proud Cody :) reading all these comments left under your video from people whom you motivated is such an awesome thing to see. Literally making a difference in people's lives ❤️
I’ve started running out of spite because of you. I literally said “if Cody can do an iron man I can do a 5k” well I just wanted to pop in and say I run my first in November and am planning on doing a marathon in may
Your videos are my weekly inspo! Lost 20 pounds since May, can do 100 push ups & sit ups, run 2 miles without stopping, and am currently on day 8 of 75 Hard. Thanks for all the positivity, realness, and motivation!! Can’t wait to see what’s to come
Wanted to say I saw you on your early morning GRIND on Tuesday as I was headed to work. I wanted to honk to show so love but I reflected on my own experience of people honking while I'm running and I hate it because it scares the shit out of me. So I just cheered silently for you as I drove by 😂
Just did my first Ironman 70.3 this past weekend. Finished with a time 6:31. Watching your videos Monday made me feel like you we're my training partner in a weird way. It's really made me think about starting a channel of my own. The subject matter being :Training, Photography Cooking. Just wanted to say thanks. #choochoo
Training for my first marathon (NYC see you there) and suffered through a bad calf strain during training. Your recovery process and positive attitude helped motivate myself to get better! You helped me realize this is all apart of the process. Happy to say I am recovered and anxiously waiting to run my first marathon race in a few weeks!
This channel inspired me to start running back in May and for the first time in my life I trained towards something and not just 'because'. On September 24th I ran the HC Andersen Marathon in Denmark in my girlfriends hometown with her, my family and her family supporting. My goal was finishing under 3:45:00. Clocked out at 3:43:46 after giving it everything I had. Thank you for the motivation and CHOO freakin' CHOO baby
Yesterday I went for a run for the first time in probably ten years. I did a run/walk, 1.3 miles. My first goal is to run a half mile without stopping to walk. Most of my inspiration is you, so thank you, Cody. Choo choo!
Earlier in the year, my girlfriend and I were watching some old Cody & Ko videos and eating a bunch of junk food. We somehow started watching a CodyTrains video, which encouraged me to go on a run. Struggled through three miles that night and threw up halfway through. Yesterday, I ran 12 miles and have been running consistently ever since that first night. Thanks, Cody, for helping me get into running and good luck at the NYC Marathon
From calorie counting and strength training/light Cardio 3 times a week, I've lost about 60 pounds since March (315 to 255). I'm still working it down, but I just started running on the treadmill for about third of my post-lift mile every workout, and I'm currently at a 12:30 pace. Still working to get that down, the short term goal is to get under 10. Before this my best mile was definitely over 15 since I never run, but I'm sort of in the middle of the gauntlet, counting the incremental victories.
I want to say that last weekend I hiked 5.3 miles in the PNW with a support team of friends and family. Longer than I've walked in TWO YEARS, DOUBLE my last attempt 💪🎉 maybe the most exhausted I've ever been. Shout-out to these videos inspiring me through a traumatic blunt force injury, nerve damage and spinal surgery. CHOO CHOO MOTHERFUCKERS to anyone out there struggling with injury or disability I'm glad you're here and still trying. I used to do backpacking and wilderness conservation as a job. My friend reminded me today that when im doing something I love I am capable of so much more than I know.
I got COVID this week and have been suuuper bored, found this channel and I absolutely love it. Thanks for your honesty with the highs and lows of training, endurance sports, and adventuring - it is so awesome and real to see! I was signed up for a marathon last year and had to switch to the half due to injury and not being in the right headspace. I’ve been really restless this week and thought it was time to just send it and sign up for another marathon, so thanks for your inspiration!
Hi Cody! Your videos are the best part of my Mondays. I just ran a new half marathon PR yesterday of 1:45 and I’m so excited! You keep me motivated in my training for CIM in December and can’t wait to see your New York Marathon videos!
Wassup Cody! Thanks to you I started running and yesterday I did my first 15km! It felt amazing and was so awesome to achieve something like that. I wanted to quit so many times but i thought about your vids and continued to run. Thanks again for the constant support and love the vids!
I'm not running NY but I am running my first marathon that same day in Raleigh and two of my best friends are also running marathons that weekend. Every week when you post we love to watch cause it's so relatable that we're doing all the same training with the same goal on the same day in mind. You're a big part of our marathon squad without even knowing it, and you are doing a huge part keeping us motivated 😎 choo freaking choo, we got this!!
Gotta have more oil in that deep fryer, use some canola or vegetable oil in one of those big plastic containers for cheap. After you fry your stuff and it cools down you can save the oil to use for the next time you fry. Don't use expensive oil to deep fry it wont taste any better.
Thanks for all the motivation Cody😊Ran my fastest half marathon in Brussels this weekend! 2 hours and 17 minutes. I grew up as an athlete with my dad as my coach and mentor. He suddenly passed away a little over 2 years ago, so now all my athletic endeavors are dedicated to him and the foundation we started in his name. Your videos help me stay positive and commit to my training plan. Good luck in NY💪
Cody thank you!! Because of you and this channel I did my first triathlon over the summer and I signed up for my first Half Marathon coming up in a couple weeks. I’ve been training hard and even started making my own videos on Tiktok and Instagram. You’re a great role model and an inspiration to me and everyone else here. Thank you CHOO CHOO!!
7:50 pace and talking… jealous, hoping to get to a place where I can do that. CHOO CHOO! Not only a Ironman but a chief too. Also would love a brooks or new balance sponsor on my channel.
Cody man I’m training for the Charlotte marathon and had to take about 2 weeks off because my knees were in pain for a while. But seeing you get covid and keep on trekking helps so much to see someone else going through it and still prioritizing training. Much love, Choo choo, and, do you hear that? Let’s fucking go
cody could you please start filming on action mode when youre running? because the mode is literally made for shaky settings and it would really make watching these segments a lot more pleasent thank you
Yo Cody this channel inspired me to switch sports to xc in the middle of high school, made varsity and am chasing a top 10 school time all thanks to your inspiration. Knocking a half marathon down, then a full, then a 70.3 triathlon. Lets getit
I trained this summer and ran a half marathon and a 10 mile race in September. Was so rewarding to train and achieve a goal and not give up. Choo choo!
Hey Cody :) running my first 10K in 2 weeks. I started running a bit before the channel started, but having these to look forward to and having content surrounding exercise in general has really helped push me along in my journey. Thank you for the inspiration, for me, and everyone else watching! Choo choo!!!!
yet another banger video i really love how authentic he seems to be on this channel and you know what cody its batshit amazing how you motivate yourself by running like that... couldnt be me. but i live vicariously through you so its okay .
Last fall when you started training for your Iron man and created Cody Trains, I felt inspired to do something similar. I got my dad on board, started running/swimming/biking for the first time and soon after I completed my first sprint Triathlon placing 4th in my age group! Cool stuff you got going on. Keep it up and so will I!
Got serious with consistent running in November of 2022, and at the start, couldn't run for more than 1 mile without stopping. Raced a 10k in April of this year, and yesterday I raced in my first Half Marathon, finishing in 2 hours and 13 minutes. The day before my half, I felt like I needed some inspo, so I watched your "The Day I Became and Ironman" video and seriously it helped fire me up, relieve some anxiety, and remind myself to go out and try to have fun at the end of the day! Years ago, I thought "I hope I can run a half marathon at some point in my life", but this year I decided "why not now?". Your training journey is such an inspiration to so many, including myself. Choo Freakin Choo!!
I think you need even more oil for the corn dogs if you need them full submerged. I’d buy gallon jugs of oil or even a smaller fryer. I have small deep fryer and it works wonders. With battered things as well the more oil allows them to float and not touch the basket until they are fully done because they will stick. So more oil- and don’t put them in the basket and lower it, place them in the oil and use the basket when they are done.
Cody I love your energy, I love absolutely everything about this channel. I cannot run currently due to a knee problem, but seeing you so pumped up makes me pumped up to join different workouts and go to the gym or just for long walks. choo choo, I hope you never stop these
Cody I ran my first half marathon this past weekend! I love this channel and it inspired me to take my running more seriously and actually train for something. It was hard but I got it done! Thanks for the inspiration! Choo choo!
Signed up for my first turkey trot (I have always feared the turkey trot families who would run on Thanksgiving morning) and I’m shocked, but thrilled to be doing it!!! Inspired by you dude so thank you. CHOO CHOO
Been watching Cody Trains at my finance desk job and it’s been motivating me even at work to be better at my job. Now it’s time to actually run… good luck at the NYC marathon!
hi cody! i just ran my first marathon yesterday, which was something that was greatly inspired by this channel. i finished in under 6 hours wearing my cody run club hat!
Just ran my first marathon on sunday, it was cancelled due to heat and humidity but I still went out an did it. My goal was sub 4 hours and I ran it in a 3:58:13! Thanks Cody for the inspiration!
Just finished my college soccer career and wasn’t sure what to do next. Found this channel right at the start and have been training for triathalons ever since. Have my first half Ironman coming up in June. Choo chooo.
I just ran for 20 minutes no stopping today, I haven’t been able to do that since being addicted to nicotine, (which i quit 1 year and 1 month ago) my lungs are healing and I feel so accomplished tbh. I listen to these vids like a podcast while i run and it’s super motivating ❤️❤️
Just did my first triathlon (mini) and got second in my age division! I’d never considered the sport until this channel, and now I’m obsessed. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hi Cody! I’ve been following this channel since the start and I finally started running because of you. I ran a 2k race and finished my 5k in 30min , never having ran before. I know it’s small, but I’m super proud of myself for getting there and I have you to thank. Choochoo and energy is everything 😊
I started CrossFit about two years ago and it changed my life forever! I started coaching CrossFit three months ago and I play your music for the whole gym to hear during workouts😂😂
Cody you inspired me to start running again :) starting off slow for sure, back in the day I played soccer all through 1-12 grade and used to love running, but once I hit college I didn’t work out as much, and stopped all together when the pandemic hit. Now after watching your videos you’ve inspired me to pick up running again just to stay in shape and feel good about myself! Im at a shaky 9min mile at the moment lol but I’m working on it! Anyways thanks for all you do Cody, love to you Kelsey and the baby :)
I know this is a running vid but if you needed that corn dog tip try pouring your batter into a tall cup and dipping the dog into the cup for a better coat and overall fry. Love the vids Cody!
this vid is perfect timing! i’m running 12 miles tomorrow in prep for the Athens marathon on nov 12, we’re pretty much on the same training track so thanks for the inspiration🙏 good luck on that 20!!
I have always wanted to run track and was just never able to push myself to sign up. You have genuinely motivated me to sign up and I’m so excited to be apart of something so life changing.
Just finished first 10k in 48 minutes which was my pr!!! Gonna do a half marathon in January, thanks for being a big part of the reason I’m taking training more seriously!!!
Hey Cody, Just an FYI it’s recommended to use vegetable oil for frying because of the smoke point and to really not mix between different oils. Just a tip for future dogs! Love the vids!

Congrats!!!! That’s so awesome 🎉
congratulations thats amazing!!
it's actually scientifically proven that strawberry shortcake improves athletic performance

loving the overarching theme of “cake for breakfast” in this one
Honesty was feeling really lazy this morning but watching this while eating breakfast has made me ready to run today

The running-talking clips are hysterical to me
brooks are great shoes use them for the arch support during runs 👍🏻 switched over from asics

Seak peek at the dawgs and the fridge. That was one hell of an opening minute.
Me, watching Cody flex about being up early, while I make croissants at 2am for my bakery. I get up at 1am, beat THAT beeyotch.😂
Gotta have more oil in that deep fryer, use some canola or vegetable oil in one of those big plastic containers for cheap. After you fry your stuff and it cools down you can save the oil to use for the next time you fry. Don't use expensive oil to deep fry it wont taste any better.

7:35 cody’s slow decline into Goganism
Hey Cody :) running my first 10K in 2 weeks. Thank you for the inspiration, for me, and everyone else watching! Choo choo!!!!

Crazy to think that everyday I’m still asleep while Cody is already getting it started
questioning the trader joes coffee cake when you have that work of art in the fridge
Cody you are reminding me of that opening scene in This is 40 where Paul Rudd is hammering cupcakes before his morning bike ride lol
CHOO CHOO
Needed this inspiration today coming back from covid! Was feeling like all my training has been lost, but I have to trust the training!!
Been watching Cody Trains at my finance desk job and it’s been motivating me even at work to be better at my job. Now it’s time to actually run… good luck at the NYC marathon!
hi cody! i just ran my first marathon yesterday, which was something that was greatly inspired by this channel. i finished in under 6 hours wearing my cody run club hat!
the coffee cake improving the run is taking me out
Just ran my first marathon on sunday, it was cancelled due to heat and humidity but I still went out an did it.
Choo chooo.
cody should host a creator clash-type event but it’s a marathon
Youre the Bob Ross of running vlogs 😂🙌🏽
Chili is 100% taking advantage of the last times he will be the baby of the family
bro i literally want those shoes as a piece of cody train’s history don’t thow them out!
Why is nobody talking about the dolphin in the clip of the ocean ❤😭
I know this is a running vid but if you needed that corn dog tip try pouring your batter into a tall cup and dipping the dog into the cup for a better coat and overall fry. Love the vids Cody!
Also running the NYC marathon. You should organize a shakeout run on Saturday before the marathon!
this vid is perfect timing! i’m running 12 miles tomorrow in prep for the Athens marathon on nov 12, we’re pretty much on the same training track so thanks for the inspiration🙏 good luck on that 20!!

cody when you drop shit in the fryer give it a good shake for 5 seconds it shouldnt stick anymore
Hey Cody,
Just an FYI it’s recommended to use vegetable oil for frying because of the smoke point and to really not mix between different oils. Just a tip for future dogs!
Love the vids!
✍️ to run fast, eat cake for breakfast ✍️ thanks Cody!
we need a cody trains run!!!
