  Pros

  Audacity is a great audio editor on my Windows 8.1 machine. Strong and fast run on top of the line HP Envy. Good Features.

  Cons

  On the Mac it is an empty suit. A skeleton with no parts and useless. This POS does not deserve to share the name with the windows version. Fix it so it runs just like the Win version. No wonder the Mac users are upset. Completely useless. Nothing works

  Summary

  Save your energy. Save yourselves. Unless you are a masochist, you should avoid downloading or using the Mac version until they fix it. The build should be made just like the PC. No ifs ands or butts.

  It's free and can be deleted.

  Horrible interface is complete unintuitive and user-unfriendly. Took ages just to work out how to recognise the USB input from my amp, then took ages to work out how to set up a recording and then took forever to try and split the tracks. I gave up trying to split up the tracks after an hour just trying to get songs 1 and 2 sorted... Just horrendous software. Pay for VinylStudio and save yourself lots of pain.

  Summary

  This is probably suited to very technical users. For someone who wants to quickly and easily convert vinyl to a Mac, it was virtually impossible to use.

  Too many things went wrong in this update. Drag to icon doesn't open file, then crashes shortly. Same plugins in all my folders as before, so it's not on my end. MBP 10.7.5.

  Wait until 2.05 or 06, or get previous version.

  None. The product would open, but *none* of the features appeared to be active.

  Cons

  Does not appear to even have all the files needed to run. Not at all intuitive as it initially downloads. I'll try the Windows version, which apparently has all the pieces in one package.
