That's either an "I just woke up" face, or it's an "I just got punched in the face" face.
He has some interesting expressions for sure our lovely Tremolo
To be honest the most "emotional" (so to speak) expression I recall is the waterwork on the bench. :KEK:

But when looking at it closely... is he really crying or just trolling?

Pet names are usually used in the game when fucking. And fucking someone in a lot of cultures can also be seem as an intimate way of addressing them.

Riona should call the mc Kami-sama in bed, which is great because it's appropriate, and it would confuse Cammy as well (who would most likely be involved or at least reading, or jilling, in her bed as the other two are going at it). :p
It wouldn't be appropriate at all. Japanese don't say "kami-sama" the way western people say "god" (in whichever language the individual speaks). It only happens in fanfiction written by the most ignorant weeaboos. It's worse than putting in OCs with English names. Okay, the characters in Danmachi do it, but they are talking directly to their gods face to face. It's different.

Shinto is a really complicated religion. It's not so much a set of beliefs as a sort of manual for dealing with spiritual beings. Simplified version: don't call upon the supernatural, because you don't know what will pick up the phone. If you need divine guidance, go to a temple. The priests there make sure the right being is listening.

If you call upon gods in bed a youkai might hear you and come and suck out your soul. Through your ass.

The little details in this game are really wild. I just finished a playthrough with choices I usually wouldn't make and noticed something that probably not everybody has seen, even in this thread.
You all probably remember the dude who is trying to steal soda from the vending machine in the dorm free roam (you can choose to buy him one). If you later choose to stay with Derek instead of Sage or Bella, you can meet him again and he asks you if he should join the chess club.

I told him yes and didn't expect any consequences. Well, it does have some. Later on, you see the front page of the B&R newspaper when Tybalt brags with it. It normallly looks like this:

Philip Hoff wins the chess tournament. But if Mr. Sodathief joins, things go a little different. :KEK:

Dude beat Hoff with a chessboard. :KEK: And when Hoff turns up to his first lesson, he looks suitably fucked up and comments on it:

Nine days later, during Jill's recital, he looks normal again.
But the consequences don't even end there:
During the dorm party, the chess aggressor normally sits in his room together with the really ugly guy and they talk about how they totally could get girls.

But if the guy gets expelled, his roommate actually manages to get a girl:

Stuff like this really helps to set this game apart from the rest and makes it feel "alive". Also explains why the testing for the new update is going to take weeks: tons of small variables to consider.

Pretty sure most of us have seen that. For me it was sort of part of my first playthrough. Sort of. I saved before choosing who to evacuate to and started from there a few times before taking it all the way from the start.

But it is one of the game's hidden jokes. Replaying always has that chance of finding something you had missed.

Totally agree btw, if you ask me what separates BADIK from other AVNs is the whole package.

There's better looking AVNs, there's AVNs with better story/setting, and yes there's AVNs with more frequent updates, but as a whole package I struggle to find others that are soo good at so many different things.

I always felt like BADIK was alive with background characters doing there thing while you are doing yours. There are only a handful of other VN's that can replicate this. The other being Eternum and idk who else atm
I tried and liked Eternum, but there's something in the setting that "keeps me away", which is weird because in general I'm not a huge fan of colegiale settings either, but that didn't stop me from playing BADIK over and over.

I've said something similar the past, and there a few games like this, in fact I could probably count on one hand.

Now BaDik doesn't do anything extremely well, others milage may vary on that. But as you said, there's better looking, there's better story etc etc. But ultimately when you look at everything in it, it doesn't do anything terrible...

Ultimately, like a few others out there BaDik is just greater than the sum of its parts.
